Freida Pinto was born in Mumbai and is a Mangalorean Christian. She graduated from St Xavier’s College, Mumbai. Freida’s older sister Sharon Pinto is with NDTV. Freida made her film acting debut with Slumdog Millionaire. Before that, she was a model and had appeared in several print and television commercials. She was also an anchor for the TV show Full Circle on Zee International. Freida has been nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the 2009 BAFTA Awards.
